Ritu Kalra is the University’s Chief Financial Officer and Vice President for Finance. She oversees the Offices of Financial Planning and Strategy, Capital Planning & Project Services, Treasury Management, Sponsored Programs, Strategic Procurement, the Controller, and Risk Management & Audit Services.

Kalra joined Harvard in 2020 as Director of the Office of Treasury Management (OTM), where she managed the University’s Central Bank and daily cash needs and oversaw the University’s debt strategy. In addition to her responsibilities as Director of Treasury, Kalra also supported senior university leadership in a special projects capacity and co-led the University’s efforts surrounding the Allston I-90 Multimodal Project.

Before joining the University, Kalra was a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs, where she was head of the firm’s Higher Education and Non-Profit Finance practice as well as its Western Region Public Sector and Infrastructure Finance practice. Kalra earned a BS in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and an MA in Journalism from New York University and serves on the Board of Trustees for the California College of the Arts.
