Thomas Hollister joined Harvard in 2015 as the University’s Chief Financial Officer and Vice President for Finance. At Harvard, he oversees the Offices of Financial Planning and Strategy, Capital Planning & Project Services, Treasury Management, Sponsored Programs, Strategic Procurement, the Controller, and Risk Management & Audit Services; and he chairs the Investment Committee for the Harvard pension plans.
Hollister formerly served as Chairman & President of Citizens Bank of Massachusetts, Chairman and President of Charter One Bank, Vice Chairman of Citizens Financial Group, and Chief Operating Officer & Chief Financial Officer of Global Partners. He served as Board Chair of Tufts Medical Center, Wheaton College, and the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce. Today he serves on the boards of Harvard Management Company, Controlled Risk Insurance Company, Ltd. (serving Harvard Medical Institutions), Brookline Bancorp, and the Andover Companies. He is a Trustee Emeritus of Wheaton College and an Honorary Life Director of The Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce.
