As Chief Procurement Officer, Sara provides leadership and oversight of the teams responsible for providing the Harvard community with superior sourcing, contracting, and procure-to-pay services to support the achievement of stakeholder goals and deliver optimal value on the University's annual expenditures.
Prior to joining Harvard in 2016, Sara served as Assistant Director of Strategic Sourcing and Procurement at Massachusetts Institute for Technology, overseeing procurement and sourcing strategies.

Sara's previous roles include extensive experience in global procurement within the financial services industry serving as Vice President and Director of Procurement at Wellington Management, LLC, and Vice President and Director of Global Strategic Sourcing at State Street Corporation. 

Sara holds a B.A. from Bates College and an MBA in Finance and Real Estate from Columbia University.
