As the Assistant Vice President, Risk Management and Audit Services (RMAS), Michael oversees a team of professionals who provide independent and objective services for identifying, managing and mitigating risk. In this position, he manages the internal audit function, the insurance department, and supports the institutional risk management program.

Prior to emigrating to the United States and joining Harvard in 2004, Michael was the Chief Audit Executive for the Northern Ireland Council for the Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment (CCEA) and the Director of Compliance for an educational services company. Michael is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).
