Ritu Kalra is the University’s Chief Financial Officer and Vice President for Finance. She oversees the Offices of Financial Planning and Strategy, Capital Planning & Project Services, Treasury Management, Sponsored Programs, Strategic Procurement, the Controller, and Risk Management & Audit Services.

Kalra joined Harvard in 2020 as Director of the Office of Treasury Management (OTM), where she managed the University’s Central Bank and daily cash needs and oversaw the University’s debt strategy. In addition to her responsibilities as Director of Treasury, Kalra also supported senior university leadership in a special projects capacity and co-led the University’s efforts surrounding the Allston I-90 Multimodal Project.

Assistant Vice President, Office for Sponsored Programs

As Assistant Vice President of the Office for Sponsored Programs (OSP), Sarah provides leadership and oversight of the staff who support the University’s sponsored research portfolio. OSP is responsible for all administrative, financial, compliance, operational functions, and policy development relating to sponsored award management. The teams within OSP include research finance and reporting, pre-award services for the Cambridge campus, research compliance, and data analytics. OSP works closely with the Office of the Vice Provost for Research (OVPR).
